The Stephenson County Antique Engine Club is a not-for-profit educational organization, preserving America's historical heritage in a wide range of activities:
Threshing Show
The Threshing Show brings together a variety of agricultural and industrial equipment, including antique tractors, steam traction engines, stationary engines, and much more for a two day event that celebrates the machines that helped America grow.
The Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad
The Silver Creek and Stephenson Railroad recreates the sights and sounds of branchline railroading with its rare Heisler steam locomotive. Take a ride through railroading history.
The Train of Terror
The Train of Terror runs on select October nights, providing its passengers with a ghoulish prelude to halloween. Come ride the rails for a spook-tacular trip through your darkest nightmares.
The Silver Creek Museum
The Silver Creek Museum contains 28 rooms of memories from yesteryear, including much of the fascinating history of the Freeport area. In addition to the displays in the main museum, come see our 130-ton stationary steam engine, the largest within 500 miles.
